Sunday Program at KPC Maryland Temple
You can attend a meditation class, participate in a traditional Tibetan Buddhist prayer and offering ceremony, and listen to a teaching on the Buddhist path. For information on specific times, see the monthly calendar.
- Meditation Class. “Stabilizing the Mind” meditation instruction is offered every Sunday morning.The class is free of charge and open to the public. No preregistration is necessary Beginners as well as experienced meditators are welcome to attend the class and the group meditation session that follows.
- Dharma Teaching. The heart of the Sunday program is a teaching by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, either live or from the KPC video archive of past teachings.
- Traditional Buddhist Practice. The Sunday Program also includes a food offering ceremony called tsog, usually as part of the Shower of Blessings practice, in which all may participate.
Turning the Mind to Dharma (for newcomers)
This class introduces the foundational teachings of the Buddha, and prepares new students for Buddhist practice. The class meets on Thursday evenings.

Children’s Program
The Children’s Program aims to help children understand the needs of others, the basis for compassion. Children learn to recognize reactions in themselves and to apply basic antidotes for non-virtue. They also learn simple virtuous practices such as recitation of appropriate mantras. The Children’s Program meets every Sunday

Teens Program
The Teens Program introduces young people to compassionate activity for the benefit of self and others. Through programs of community involvement and the Ngondro Preliminary Practices of Refuge and Bodhicitta, they learn to establish a foundation for future accomplishment. The class meets on Sundays. Palyul Media International
KPC broadcasts Dharma teachings worldwide by teleconference and video streaming. The Palyul Productions website makes an archive of teachings by Jetsunma and other Nyingma lamas available, as well as Dharma texts. www.palyulproductions.org
