Amitabha Campaign

Overlooking the brilliant red rocks of Sedona, the beautiful Amitabha Stupa stands as a beacon to all who seek peace and serenity in this world of increasing strife and danger.

Created by Jetsunma Ahkön Lhamo as a place of pilgrimage for spiritual seekers of any stripe, the stupa has attracted thousands upon thousands of people, from every state and many foreign countries.  Whether pilgrim, seeker, or just curious tourist, each has left affected in some way.  An encounter with a stupa never fails to leave an impression upon the visitor.

But the land on which the stupa rests is not yet secured.  Kunzang Palyul Chöling, the Tibetan Buddhist organization that built the stupa, is kicking off a fundraising campaign to secure this sacred site.  Our current balance on the loan is $954,449.62.  In order to prevent the note being called on the loan, we need to raise $271,000 urgently.  Once we become current on the loan with the $271,000 we can potentially renegotiate the loan and develop a strategic fund raising project to secure the remaining debt.

The importance of stupas in this world goes far beyond just providing personal peace and serenity.  A stupa is also said to pacify and harmonize the land itself for great distances around its physical location.  Sitting in a place of power that has been declared perfect by both master stupa builder Tulku Sang Ngak and Feng Shui masters such as Lillian Too, the Amitabha Stupa has a very great reach indeed.  The site was specifically selected by Jetsunma to pacify the entire Western portion of the United States.

We must ensure that this stupa will remain untouched and whole for future generations.

The Buddhist teachings tell us that by helping to build a stupa or by supporting it financially, we will receive the benefit of that act of generosity as long as that stupa stands in the world.

By participating in the Amitabha Sacred Land Campaign – securing the jewel of Sedona, you will join a worldwide effort—along with the thousands of people who have visited this special place and experienced it for themselves.
