Beginning Buddhist Prayer and Meditation Series

This popular series has been a great success and will continue through 2018.  Please join us for our monthly class in which we discuss how to apply fundamental Buddhist principles to our daily lives.  The classes also will include a brief talk on who we are and what we do at KPC, and ways in which you can participate.

Location:  KPC Temple in Poolesville, MD, USA

Time:  11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Testing It Like Gold:
Developing Faith in the Buddha’s Teachings

The Buddha said that faith should not be based “on mere reverence alone,” and instructed his followers to analyze the truth of his teachings the way a goldsmith would test the quality of his gold. This class will explore the meaning and importance of faith in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and how to cultivate unshakable faith through analytical inquiry and reasoning.

This is a part of our “Beginning Buddhist Practices” First Saturday of the Month series.
