11am Advice for Children – for youth and children of all ages

2pm Questions for Rinpoche

Assumptions are natural to the way we think. They define the way we perceive reality. For example, the world is round, the sky is blue – things we learn as a child. But are they correct? Will they help us perceive true reality? Let’s find out.

Following the topic of assumptions, Rinpoche will teach on the 12 Links of Interdependent Origination. These links provide insight into the cycle of death and rebirth. There are 12 Links in this chain: (1) Ignorance, (2) karmic creation, (3) consciousness, (4) the five mental aggregates, (5) the five senses, (6) contact, (7) feeling, (8) grasping , (9) attachment and avoidance, (10) becoming, (11) rebirth, (12) aging and death. They cause us to remain in the cycle of death and rebirth – endlessly – until we can break that chain through enlightenment.

Tulku Dawa Rinpoche specifically requested to give another class to the children. His last one held the whole room enthralled and we eagerly anticipate this one. We are all children, after all.

The last session is a Q&A. Bring your questions – Rinpoche is very open, accessible and enjoys answering your questions. These opportunities with a Lama are rare and precious. Often someone has just the question you were afraid to ask.
