About Ngondro
“The Namchö (Space Treasure) Dzogchen preliminary practice is called “Buddha in the Palm of the Hand.” By accomplishing this practice, one can realize the nature of mind – an important and necessary foundation for higher Dzogchen practice. Although the Namchö preliminary practice is very deep and profound, it is clear and easy for all to practice. It has many special qualities and the blessings of the lineage are strong and swift.”
– His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche

Prepare with Khenpo Tenzin Yeshi’s Sunday Teachings
At the request of Her Eminence Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo Rinpoche, Khenpo Tenzin Yeshi is offering a series of Sunday teachings on the Seven Line Prayer and Ngöndro — designed to help newcomers and students planning to attend the empowerment weekend understand the commitment involved in receiving these empowerments.
The Seven Line Prayer and Ngöndro are foundational practices in Vajrayana Buddhism and essential for anyone interested in studying and practicing in the Palyul tradition.
Khenpo Tenzin Yeshi opened the series with a teaching on the meaning of the Seven Line Prayer. Watch the recording here.
The remaining three teachings will focus on Ngöndro and take place at 11:30am on the following Sundays: March 22 | March 29 | April 5
About the Teachers
Khenpo Tenzin Norgay Rinpoche was born in Bhutan and trained at Ngagyur Nyingma Institute at Namdroling Monastery in Mysore, India, where he was formally enthroned as Khenpo by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. Because of his knowledge and experience, and fluent command of the English language, His Holiness Penor Rinpoche has assigned him to teach students in the United States. Learn more here.
Khenpo Tenzin Yeshi, affectionately known as Khenpo Karze, came to Namdroling Monastery from his village in northern India and was awarded the degree of Khenpo — equivalent to a PhD in Buddhist Philosophy — by Ngagyur Nyingma Institute. He has taught extensively in Palyul temples across Nepal, India, Europe, and Taiwan. Making his first visit to the United States, he now serves as KPC’s resident Khenpo. Learn more here.
