What’s Happening at KPC

November 16 – 30, 2025

Celebrating 40 years of the Prayer Vigil, KPC has been a place of refuge and prayer for all who come, Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. With the blessing of Her Eminence Jetsunma Ahkön Lhamo, all are welcome here.

As we look toward the close of 2025, we’re reminded that KPC continues to offer peaceful refuge year after year because of the generosity of so many. Your support makes every act of compassion here possible and keeps this sanctuary available for all who seek it. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations are fully tax-deductible. You may make an end-of-year gift by clicking here.

Thank you to KPC Grounds Clean-up Volunteers!

Thank you to everyone who joined our recent Grounds Clean-up Weekends! Volunteers moved cinder blocks, pulled weeds, organized tools, and cleared brush for compost, making KPC’s grounds more welcoming and preparing the Giving Garden hoop house for winter growing to support local families with fresh produce.

We’re grateful for every pair of hands that helped care for the land. If you’d like to join future volunteer days, contact us at volunteer@tara.org.

Every day at KPC, there are prayers and practices taking place, in person and online. Everyone is welcome to attend them, for the full practice or any portion, Buddhist and non-Buddhist alike. Visit the KPC Calendar for a complete list of our practices and events. Please note, times are subject to change.

One such activity is our Daily Tsog Practice.

Ratna Lingpa Vajrakilaya thangka

Daily Tsog Practice

Daily, 7 – 9pm*
Prayer Room, Zoom

Earlier this year, Spiritual Director Jetsunma Ahkön Lhamo, asked us to practice Ratna Lingpa Vajrakilaya every day, with extra protector recitations, to pacify the current conditions worldwide.

This powerful practice clears obstacles, averts negative energies and threats, helps reduce fear and calm the mind of the person who recites the mantra.

*Times are subject to change. Check the KPC Calendar for the time if you plan to attend.

Other Ways to Participate:

There are many, many opportunities to participate at KPC every single day, from volunteering to joining the Prayer Vigil, to requesting our nuns and monks to give house and business blessings. To learn more about all the ways there are to get involved at KPC, visit our website at www.tara.org

One opportunity is to visit the Migyur Dorje Stupa in the heart of KPC’s Peace Park.

Migyur Dorje stupa with prayer flags

Stupas are sacred monuments that embody the enlightened mind of the Buddha. Those built to enshrine the relics of Terton Migyur Dorje have been known to offer spontaneous healing to those who circumambulate them with faith. Jetsunma dedicated this Stupa to the end of diseases for which there is no known cure.

Click here for a hiking map of the Peace Park. Open dawn – dusk.

KPC Hours
